The Port of Ciutadella, located on the island of Menorca, is one of the historic ports of the Balearic Islands. Its traffic dates back to the Middle Ages, when Ciutadella was the island's capital during the time of the Crown of Aragon, but the port infrastructure did not acquire any significant size until the mid-19th century, when existing structures were completed or improved.

In 1929, work began on widening the port, whose narrowness had limited the size and length of ships. The works were completed 30 years later, in 1962. At this time, the port, with the widening and other important works such as the access roads and the slipway, acquired its current configuration, although numerous improvements have been made since then.

The port, initially for commercial and fishing traffic, has experienced during the last decades an intense increase in recreational boats that have been occupying all the riverbanks suitable for mooring.

The directly managed section has 147 moorings, and to this must be added the 55 moorings managed by the Ciutadella CN.
