PortsIB currently manages a total of 8 buoy fields, located in: Cala Blava (Llucmajor, Mallorca), Sant Elm (Andratx, Mallorca), Ses Salines (Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Eivissa), Caló de s'Oli (Formentera), S'Espalmador (Formentera), Bahía de Fornells (Es Mercadal, Menorca), Isla de Colón (Mahón, Menorca), Formentor (Pollença, Mallorca). In total, they represent 256 anchorage points and starting this coming Tuesday you can start booking them.
Vessels registered under the 7th list during 2022 will not need to be registered again. However, vessels under the 6th list will have to be validated each time, because the booking and contract must be made by the skipper who will be on board, never by the company that owns the vessel, and a signed rental agreement must be presented.
It is important to remember that buoys can only be booked through the PortsIB website: Online booking of moorings and buoys , so it is recommended to validate the vessel and make the booking before sailing to the anchorage area.
Several new features have been introduced for this season. Firstly, the day pass and the morning (10:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.) or afternoon (14:00 p.m. to 18:00 p.m.) swim pass must also be booked online on the same day they are to be used.
Remember that the vouchers are intended exclusively for boats equal to or less than 12 meters.
Another new feature is that overnight bookings can be made until 21:00 p.m. on the same day, in order to facilitate access for all users.
The reservation conditions also include new rules such as the prohibition of driving jet skis at more than 3 knots, carrying out activities with nautical devices, high music volumes or organizing parties within the perimeter of the buoy fields.
Following the recommendation of the Posidonia Committee and in order to avoid possible spills and to promote the service and rotation as much as possible, the maximum stay will be 3 days per field, and you must wait at least 10 days to book again in the same space.
The mariner assistance service in the buoy fields will be provided by CBBA company staff, supported by PortsIB staff.
