Ports de les Illes Balears, together with the Government of the Balearic Islands (CAIB), has joined the FACe platform to promote electronic invoicing. As of January 15th, invoices in electronic format are accepted, and all suppliers who have delivered goods or provided services to the Public Administration must issue and send an electronic invoice.

The FACe platform is the General Entry Point for Invoices of the Spanish General State Administration and allows the electronic submission of invoices to registered administrations that accept electronic invoices. The system simplifies invoice submission for suppliers by centralizing all participating agencies in one place and sending the invoice directly to the recipient. Furthermore, it standardizes the invoice format.

The Balearic Government, through a resolution passed by its Governing Council on September 5, agreed to join the FACe platform, in accordance with the provisions of Law 25/2013 of December 27, on the promotion of electronic invoicing and the creation of an accounting register of invoices in the Public Sector. Article 6 of the aforementioned law allows the Autonomous Communities to adopt the use of the general entry point for electronic invoices provided by the State.
